Neuropsychology Assessment and Rehabilitation

A neuropsychology assessment evaluates how a person's brain is functioning across areas such as memory, attention, executive function, language and processing speed, and links those findings to everyday behaviour. It usually involves a clinical interview, standardised cognitive tests and a written report with clear recommendations.

Assessments are commonly used after brain injury or stroke, in suspected dementia or ADHD, for Mental Capacity Assessments, in medico-legal cases and in care or rehabilitation planning. Clement Mind works with individuals and families as well as solicitors, case managers, insurers and residential care providers.

After the first contact, we have a formal meeting with you, so we can know if our expertise can satisfy your needs — we are still a small team and we don’t work in every single area, we do in most, but not all of them. Then, we will send you a formal proposal to accept where we describe the goals, outputs and the rest of the KPIs we agreed in the meeting. And finally, we will begin to work on the project. This way both you and we will be confident of what is our framework. There will always be a person responsible for the project, a qualified psychologist and, depending on the case, aided by an assistant psychologist.

No. We always add a clause to the contract so either party can walk away if we feel it’s better. No reimbursements, but no strings attached.

We respect every test in the world — even those written on a napkin when the authors got carried away at the pub. But no. You and we have not met yet and we are not friends. But we respect you as much as we can respect the waiter at Wetherspoons, which is a lot. We smile and say “thank you”. We do not look down on them with airs of superiority, telling them how to carry the tray. When we are the providers – not the buyers – we ask for the same kind of consideration for our clinical judgement. Still, if your care group has a psychologist team leader, we will be pleased to debate and agree an assessment protocol.

We have been doing this for years. We follow our own system that we have been perfecting. So we use templates and spreadsheets to audit the impact of our interventions. I (Alberto) am somewhat obsessive, and that can be a bit exhausting for those who have to put up with me, but it yields fabulous results. I have been doing this and leading teams for years. And from day one, it allowed me to make care providers feel at ease, confident that the workload would be met on time and up to standard regardless of staff turnover or any other eventuality. Of course, if you would rather keep the psychology department empty or run on a rota of locums, we respect that too.
